2026 Fall LuceSEA Webinar #3: Human Activities & Environmental Change in Southeast Asia

Join us for the third webinar of the 2026 Fall LuceSEA Webinar Series on Human Activities & Environmental Change in Southeast Asia.

Plantations are proliferating across Southeast Asia. When landscapes are reorganized into exclusive ecologies built for the purposes of extraction and accumulation, lives and livelihoods are reorganized, too. What modes of living and dying are made to exist within the material formation of a plantation?  Thinking with plantations, this session examines how nature and life worlds are being transformed under capitalism in Southeast Asia today.
