Support Friends of Southeast Asia

Aloha Ohana & Friends of Southeast Asia Ohana
Wednesday, April 8, is Giving Day for the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa. This year, UHCSEAS is focusing our Giving Day efforts on raising funds to support programs and events that will benefit the SEA faculty, students and community.
CSEAS has faced severe reductions due to the recent elimination of the US’s Department of Education National Resource Center-Southeast Asia grant (NRCSEA) and Foreign Language Area Studies (FLAS). Losing these grants has immediate, and significant consequences for student support, Southeast Asia-related training, broader collaborative activities with scholars of, and in Southeast Asia. Consequently, it will have a significant and potentially irreversible impact on Southeast Asian Studies at UH Mānoa.
We are immensely proud of our current and former faculty, and students who have dedicated their careers to Southeast Asian Studies. With the gifts and support from our Friends of Southeast Asia, the CSEAS will continue to support our faculty, students and collaborators in any way possible.
We encourage you to consider making a donation to the CSEAS through this direct link: https://giving.uhfoundation.org/funds/12099832.
Every amount counts.
We appreciate your support, thank you!
