The UH Mānoa Center for Southeast Asian Studies announces the 2026 Indonesian Consul General’s Prize for Best Scholarly Writing on Indonesia. 

Who Should Apply

UH Mānoa students from any disciplinary background, at any stage of higher education (undergraduate, master’s, doctoral students).

Submission Details

• Submission deadline: April 15, 2026
• Paper length: 3,000 to 10,000 words (excluding footnotes)
• Submission format: thesis papers, published essays, journal articles, and other substantial forms of scholarly writing
