John Young Scholarship (Endowment Fund) — UH Mānoa College of Arts, Languages & Letters (CALL)


The John Young Scholarship (Endowment Fund) provides financial support for undergraduate and graduate students pursuing fields related to the arts at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa’s College of Arts, Languages & Letters (CALL). Scholarship funds may be used for costs associated with attendance (e.g., tuition, books, fees).

Award Amount

  • Up to $5,000 for undergraduate students
  • Up to $8,000 for graduate students

Eligibility

  • Academic Level
    • Undergraduate juniors or seniors
    • Graduate students
  • Field of Study
    • Declared major or degree program in a field related to the arts within CALL
  • Enrollment Status
    • Full-time enrollment at UH Mānoa
  • High School Background
    • Undergraduates: must be graduates of a Hawaiʻi high school
    • Graduate students: preference given to graduates of a Hawaiʻi high school
  • Residency
    • No specific residency requirement
  • Academic Merit
    • Must demonstrate satisfactory academic merit, as determined by the selection committee
