Thai/Vietnamese Cooking Class at KCC


Have you ever wanted to learn to make Thai/Vietnamese food? Well, now’s your chance! n the colder months of winter, soup just always hits the spot. And what’s more, they’re usually fairly cheap and easy to make. Especially if you know the tips and techniques that Chef Grant will show you. In this class, Chef Grant will show you how to make his favorite Asian soup recipes, including miyeokguk (Korean beef and seaweed birthday soup), that awesome spicy Thai hot and sour shrimp souptom yum goong, and something that everyone has been asking for, Vietnam’s wonderful spicy, savory, herbaceous soup, pho. Enroll now in Chef Grant’s ‘Asian Soups’ cooking class at Kapiʻolani Community College (KCC) to be held on Saturday, February 11, 2017.

This class is part of KCC’s continuing studies Culinary program with classes designed for those interested in learning proper cooking or baking techniques and skills.  Classes are held in the culinary arts laboratories and lecture rooms.  In most cases, students have the opportunity to prepare and produce certain foods, sample, and discuss methods and techniques with the chef instructor.  The culinary series are modular.  This means you may pick and choose classes that fit your personal interests.  In order to ensure individual attention and safety, class enrollment is limited.
