Prof. Naiad Wong, Windward Community College, provides an update on events in Myanmar, by focusing on the military coup, ethnic minorities, including the Karen and Rhingya, and the magnificent splendor of the country — The Tragedy and The Beauty of Myanmar. Prof. Wong teaches World and European Histories with an emphasis on minority groups, human rights and culturalsensitivity. She is part of the Global Studies Committee, which encourages students to study abroad.
