Sponsored by the Southeast Asian Cultural Heritage Alliance (SEACHA), the talks are free via Zoom, with prior registration requested. Under the theme, Building Climate Resiliency Through Local Community Wisdom, we are pleased to host “Living with Water: Amphibious Architecture and City,” presented by architect Chutayaves (Gift) Sinthuphan.
Khun Gift will speak about the critical need for flood-resilient housing and his contemporary design inspired by communities of traditional houses on stilts. Khun Gift is the founder of Bangkok-based Site-Specific: Architecture and Research (SS:AR), Director of the Creative Economy Agency in northeast Thailand and has taught at a number of Southeast Asian universities.
