Hawaii Chapter present the First Fulbright Scholar Program Workshop for Faculty. Featuring Athena Mison Fulay, Senior Manager for Institutional Engagement, The Council for International Exchange of Scholars (CIES). Topics covered in the workshop include: Opportunities for teaching, research, and flexible initiatives in more than 125 countries; Tips on how to craft a competitive application, including how to make contacts abroad and choosing the right country and award for you; Ways to increase the international profile of your campus by hosting a Fulbright Visiting Scholar through the Outreach Lecturing Fund and Scholar-in-Residence Program. Apply by October 13 for the Fulbright-Clinton Fellowship which enables U.S. citizens to serve in professional placements in a government ministry/institution in both Myanmar & Timor-Leste. Fellows build mutual understanding while gaining hands-on public sector experience. The Fulbright-Clinton Fellowship also includes an independent academic study/research component.
