Work by the Greater Angkor Project since 2000 has yielded new archaeological insights on the development and demise of the Angkorian state. Work discussed in today’s presentation extends the historical perspective in time to understand the Early Modern period in the Lower Mekong Basin: what Khmer scholars call the post-Angkorian or Khmer period.
