This movie tells about the final days in Hanoi before the nation-wide resistance broke out on 19 December 1946. The main character is Lam (Quang Hai) a student at the University of Law and a member of the resistance force in Hanoi. Negotiations are at a standstill and President Ho Chi Minh is trying to maintain and resolve the relationship between Viet Nam and France.
